“Exhibits/’1876 Centennial Exhibition.’” The exhibition was assembled by the Museum of History and Technology (now, National Museum of American History) and opened one hundred years to the day after President Ulysses S. Grant inaugurated the Philadelphia Centennial.  The image presents the South Hall of the Arts & Industries Building, which contained the Government Hall of the exhibit.  Original in color.
