HISTORICAL NOTE

The Department of Drawings and Prints was established in 1946. It is responsible for the care, storage, cataloging, and study of its holdings. It also provides information on drawing and print collections.


DESCRIPTIVE ENTRY

The papers document the administration of Elaine Evans Dee, Curator, 1968-____and Xenia Cage, Museum Technician, 1968-____. They include general correspondence, mostly inquiries regarding the collections, photograph orders, and job applications; and materials concerning exhibitions and The American Federation of Arts committee meetings, 1972-1978.
