DESCRIPTIVE ENTRY
This accession consists of materials documenting the National Design Awards, an
annual award presented by the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum (CHNDM).
An award is presented in each of several categories which may change from year
to year and the winners are chosen by a panel of well-known designers. New
judges are chosen each year. Materials include correspondence between CHNDM
staff, judges, nominees, and award recipients. Materials also include lists
of winners, copies of licensing agreements, checklists of submitted materials,
and, for some nominees, biographical information.
