As an assistant archivist for the Archives and Information Management Team, I collect, preserve, and make available the official records of the Smithsonian Institution so that its history and activities are documented.

Collection Favorites
My favorite items in the Archives are in Record Unit 92, Survey 20. It consists of a group of drawings submitted for the Smithsonian Gallery of Art competition in 1939. Among the drawings are those of the winners of the competition, Eliel and Eero Saarinen and J. Robert F. Swanson. A model of their winning submission is in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
